Date of Application
An academic year consists of two semesters, one begins in March and the other in September. Admission is given either for the spring semester or the fall term. The entrance examination is given three times in each academic year: in November, in December for the spring term, and in May for the fall term.
Detailed application procedures are made public one month before the entrance examination date through the mass media and internet homepage.
 
Entrance examination and Selection criteria
The entrance examinations are as follows:
 
Special admission: November, May

Based on the review of the applicant's submitted materials, all applicants will be evaluated for admission, and must also be asked to have an interview.
General admission : December
M.Div. : Bible, Essay, English, Interview
Th.M. : Major subject 1, Selective subject 2, English, Interview
ˆ D.Min. and Th.D. are admitted only through the special admission process.
Applicants are selected based on the combined scores of their examination and interview.

Qualifications
The qualifications for applying for each degree program are as follows:

 
M. Div.
Applicants with a Bachelor's degree (or candidate) or have an equivalent degree as recognized by law.
 
Th. M.
ˆ Applicants with a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college(seminary) or the equivalent.
ˆ Applicants with a Bachelor's degree from an institution other than a college of theology or a seminary can be qualified only when he or she has completed more than 20 units upon admission. They must satisfy the requirement through the courses offered at the UGST(Course for Reasearch, Cyber Theology Course)
 
D.Min. / Th.D.
ˆ Applicants with (or expecting) a M.Div. or Th.M. degree or the equivalent.
ˆ D.Min. applicants must have at least three-years of active ministerial experience.
 
Foreign Students

The aforementioned general rules and regulations of the Graduate School are applied equally to foreign students. Foreign students are generally recommended to be fluent in Korean but this is not an absolute requirement. Some classes are offered in English. The UGST can arrange language courses in the Korean Language Institute at Yonsei Univ.)

 
Scholarship

Assistantships are available to most students. Candidates must show a high grade point average. The amount of the assistantship cover 30% of the tuition.
